SWAROVSKI History of the Swarovski company began in the heartland of Czech glassmaking - in the Jablonec region in northern Bohemia. Daniel Swarovski, founder of the company, came from this area. In 1895, this Czech inventor and visionary moved to the village of Wattens in Austrian Tyrol together with his newly invented machine for cutting and polishing crystal jewellery stones. Despite its global reach, the company is still a family business which is lead by the fifth generation now.
